OCIE Document Imaging
Description
OCIE : Fixed-Content Management
Report Management and Document Imaging
Users define OCIE as the keeper of published information. OCIE ensures that an organizations information assets will be available in the future for viewing and further data processing. The Online Computer Information Exchange consolidates information from all of the varied reporting systems within an enterprise and helps users to view, archive, data mine and perform research on that data via a single, easy-to-use, Web-based interface.
Pronounced Oh-see, customers regard it as the process improvement platform that eliminates microfiche and drastically reduces paper consumption. Users connect to their information through a PC or Java-enabled browser with LAN, WAN, Internet, intranet, or extranet access.
Since its inception, the central focus of the OCIE development team has been to maximize load and retrieval speed, bandwidth conservation, and data search and extraction flexibility. This permits our system to interface with other best-of-breed solutions including specialized report writers (e.g., Crystal Reports) and enterprise database products (e.g., Oracle, Informix, Sybase).
At even the most basic implementation, OCIE is a proven remedy for the inefficiencies of paper, printing, and microfiche.
