Adobe Form Client
Description
Adobe Form Client software enables companies to replace inefficient, paper-based forms processes with intelligent, accessible, and secure electronic data capture solutions to improve organizational agility and productivity. Requires zero administration Provides a framework based on open, vendor-independent XML standards Incorporates digital signatures Integrates easily with core business applications
Adobe® Form Client is an intelligent data capture product that provides unprecedented application interoperability, zero administration capabilities, process and routing security, integration capabilities, and application functionality. Form Client lets you initiate commercial and business processes for large-scale Web and Internet processing and enables you to take full advantage of thin-client, Web-based architectures and component-based distributed computing. How it works Form Client consists of two main components: the form end-user components and the filler. The end-user components enable the integration of Form Client electronic forms into a wide variety of environments, such as the Web, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications. The filler is a standalone application that presents Form Client forms to the end user. Its simple user interface (UI) allows the end user to save, retrieve, mail, and print the document. Adobe Form Designer is used to create and test Form Client forms. The customized UI enables designers to create forms for a paper environment — allowing for the specification of paper size and orientation — as well as for the Web.
Organizations that want to secure transactions involving confidential or sensitive information can also use Form Client with digital signature integration — no plug-in or download is required to sign the forms.
Accessibility The Form Client intelligent data capture solution with Verbal-eyes technology provides visually impaired users with the ability to fill out electronic forms without relying on other people. If the Verbal-eyes control detects that a user is running a screen reader, it will dynamically determine what is required to begin speaking to the user. Form Client with Verbal-eyes technology complies with Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act as amended in 1998.
