Description
Stellent Fixed Records Management -- formerly Acorde Records Management -- is a full-featured, DoD 5015.2-certified records management solution that enables users and managers to identify, classify, track and manage fixed paper and electronic information, from inception through the end of the content lifecycle. Unlike active content, such as Web pages, documents and graphics, that changes dynamically and frequently -- fixed content refers to information, such as e-mail and document images (i.e. check images, scanned documents, etc.), that never changes. While image management systems enable companies to capture, store and manage critical business content -- adding records management services as supporting functionality helps organizations better support the creation, retention and destruction of records derived from fixed business content.

Stellent Fixed Records Management actively manages all types of corporate records, whether in the form of a physical document, an email with attachments, or an electronic spreadsheet. Additionally, with pre-built connectors to enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and leading optical and magnetic write once read many (WORM) storage technologies, the Stellent Fixed Records Management solution allows customers to leverage existing technologies to create an ironclad records management and storage solution.
Stellent Fixed Records Management enables administrators to establish a file plan for the organization of files, folders and documents, and then create retention schedules that govern how the multiple document classifications are to be stored within the records management solution. To ensure a successful rollout of Stellent Fixed Records Management, end-users can utilize the Web, a Windows desktop client or third-party applications to designate any type of content as a record from any location.
