Small Business Inventory Control Standard
Description
Small Business Inventory Control is a business inventory application designed to meet the needs of small and home based business owners or managers. This application combines an easy to use Explorer-style interface with all the powerful features necessary to manage your business’s inventory. The following is a brief description of some of the features found in Small Business Inventory Control:
Vendor Information - Keep track of your vendor contacts, locations, addresses, telephone numbers, fax, etc. The software automatically assigns unique vendor IDs and allows you to input your own vendor numbers.
Item Information - Track quantity stocked, currently ordered, cost, selling price, vendors, reorder-levels, reorder-quantities, etc. The software will use this information to aid you in your inventory decision-making. SBIC also allows you to create Assembled, Bundled, and Non-Depleting items as well as letting you associate an image with each item.
Orders - The software tracks the details associated with each order. This includes the vendor information, date ordered, quantity, etc. When an order is received, input the receive date, confirm the cost and quantity received. The software also provides the ability to mark orders as backorders if the full quantity was not received. All orders are created on a PO, which can be used internally, as well as faxed to the vendor.
Sales - Keep track of all your sales information. This includes, selling price, quantity per sale, subtotal and sales tax information, along with optional customer information. All sales are associated to an Invoice that can be printed or referenced at a later time.
Reports - The included reports were built based on our customers’ suggestions. We have created some of the most essential reports for you and they can be accessed quickly from the Reports menu. Each report will prompt you for the required information on the fly. One example of such a report is the Customer Payments Report, which prompts you for the customer, as well as a date range to include in the report. The Pro version of the software also allows you to completely customize, and add your own reports through a desktop publishing-style interface.
Our filters are designed to be both powerful and flexible. You can associate a filter to any of the previously mentioned folders on the left. Simply give the filter definition a name and it is resident under the folder until you decide to delete it. Filters can be simple or complex, depending on your business. You could create a filter to only show you items you receive from a specific vendor, or you even choose to view your ten most expensive products that you receive from a specific vendor, which currently have no orders pending, if you so desire. You have the power to see only the records you care about seeing, and it’s only a click away.
The most powerful feature in SBIC is its reporting capabilities. SBIC Pro users will enjoy the ability to create entirely new reports based on a preset data source, or customize the appearance of any of the included standard reports. SBIC offers many standard reports and also gives you the ability to create your own custom listing reports. With Listing Reports, you can include a list of records, applied to any named filters, and use any available inventory statistics. Listing Reports are completely customizable, giving you choices on all fonts, headings, titles, and many other options. These reports, like filters, are placed under their corresponding folder on the left for easy access. Reports are dynamic in the fact that you create the template for the report, and any time you view the reports, it always has the latest up to date information.
