VICS2000 is a powerful PC based, inventory control, reporting, and management system. VICS2000 is a proven inventory control software package that is easy to learn, even if you have never operated a computer or scanned a barcode before. VICS2000 can be used with or without barcodes and scanners. With VICS2000, reorder reports can be generated to indicate quantities of inventory to order from vendors or created from manufacturing. An optional Purchase Order Module is available to create purchase requisitions and purchase orders. Purchase requisitions can be created to requisition items from inventory or to create a requisition for approval for a purchase order. If the requisition was created for inventory items, a pick ticket is created for the requested items. If the requisition is for purchase order approval, it can be turned into a purchase order. The purchase order is then ready to be emailed, faxed, or mailed to the vendor containing your item number and the vendor’s item number. The incoming inventory items from the vendor can be scanned into inventory as they are received, updating the purchase order data with the items received. Scanning the item’s number, the UPC number, or the vendor’s item number easily does this. If the item does not contain a barcode label, use VICS2000 to create a barcode for the item. VICS2000 can also be used to create barcode labels for warehouse and bin locations. As items are located into warehouses and bins, their barcoded labels and barcoded inventory locations are simply scanned with a bar code scanner, automatically adjusting inventory levels and pin pointing inventory locations. It does not get any easier or more accurate.

VICS2000 allows easy entry of sales orders using the optional Order Entry Module. Totals for each customer’s line items, units, and sales dollars are accumulated as the order is entered. VICS2000’s Quick Entry feature allows orders to be entered by keying the item number and the quantity. After orders have been entered for a customer, there are many standard reports available to be printed. As orders are picked for a customer, pull sheets can be provided to indicate the quantity, warehouse, and bin location of items to be picked. The pick ticket allocates the item inventory to the customer’s order. It’s simple. The order can then be scan verified at the packing station insuring that all items and quantities ordered are correctly and accurately packed. The customer can then be invoiced, which prints a customer invoice and relieves inventory.

Physical inventories and cycle counts are just as easy. Items can be selected to be inventoried by warehouse, by bins in a warehouse, by selected items, or randomly. Simply scan the bar code label on each item’s bin location, and then scan the label on any items in the location. VICS2000 does the rest. Thanks to VICS2000, it’s now easier than ever to receive raw material inventory, receive finished inventory, transfer items between inventory locations, pick orders, pack verify orders, manage inventory in each bin, track shipments to customers, and produce timely, accurate reports. VICS2000 even gives you the flexibility to scan each transaction directly into a PC, with a scanner attached to the PC, or with a portable hand held terminal, no matter where you are in the warehouse.

VICS2000’s kitting function allows a kit to be created by combining component items in inventory to create a kitted item. The kitted item can then be received into inventory. A history of each component item that was kitted is maintained and can be traced back to the kitted item.

The Custom Query Report Tool is used to create any report needed that is not included with the standard VICS2000 reports. Each field in each database is made available to the user to construct the desired report. Data can be queried, sorted, or filtered to meet the needs of the user. The report can be generated on a one-time basis or the report format can be saved and then printed on a routine schedule.

VICS2000 supports all of the Symbol radio frequency portable and vehicle mounted scanners, including the Palm radio frequency portable scanners. VICS2000 also supports the Symbol SPT1500, Symbol SPT1700, and the Compsee ApexII portable scanners for batch processing.
