Flexi Financial Datawarehouse (FlexiFDW) from FlexiInternational Software. It’s not new. Chances are that if you’ve been in financial services for a while you already know of FlexiFDW. That’s because it is a tried and tested software package used by many leading financial institutions including Abbey National, Banque Paribas, Credit Lyonnais, Leonia, Nedcor, and Nomura.

With a pedigree as a highly functional solution, FlexiFDW has remained a product confined to the larger financial institutions because of its cost. However, FlexiFDW has matured into a software product that may be delivered off-the-shelf as a package and at a level of investment that can now be justified by all financial institutions.

FlexiFDW is a centrally maintained data repository for discrete accounting transactions derived from one or more source front office trading systems, acting either as an operational or trading general ledger. Multiple ledgers may be maintained. Transactions are then summarised within management account hierarchies and analysed in a multi-dimensional fashion (known as relational on-line analytical processing or ROLAP). Data may be fed into external systems or standard spreadsheets. In addition, modules specific to financial services, such as currency revaluations, average balances and FX selldowns, come as standard within FlexiFDW.
