PHAROS as Business Navigator is a simple and easy to use however comprehensive PC software package for monitoring business performance of companies. It supports work of upper and middle level enterprise management, entrepreneurs and consultants working in continuous improvement programmes. Based on comparison of the actual business results to targets set by a manager, Pharos presents a set of 20 business indexes in the aggregated format by six major lighthouse indicators Costs, Performance, Quality, Competitiveness, Product and Customers. The set was carefully selected by UNIDO to concentrate on most important information for the manager. The Pharos-lighthouse-colors allow interpreting actual enterprise status as follows: Green is Good, Yellow is Acceptable and Red is Unacceptable.

Enterprise benchmarking and self-assessment based on PHAROS database are supported by additional Pharos benchmarking utility, bringing about additional 24 indicators such as trends in productivity, customer sales, production and customer delivery quality, etc.

The software can be used as decision simulation tool in evaluating or developing future production profiles, varying production volume, acquiring new machines, etc.
