Epistemic Analytics Server
Description The Analytics Server is the engine that powers Epistemics core analytic, publishing, alerting, and data exchange capabilities.
Analytic capabilities include: Inference-based analysis to classify and categorize data based on user-specified rules to derive higher-order conclusions. Dynamic OLAP to consolidate and aggregate data based on user-specified criteria to explore relationships, trends, and slice & dice data. Ad-hoc analysis to evaluate user-specified metrics and KPIs to test hypotheses and derive insights.
All end-user analyses are performed on-demand. They do not require schema or computational support from a back-end SQL engine, and can be combined to interactively explore a situation. For example, a user may explore the reasons for a certain situation on their own using ad-hoc analysis techniques and also rely on rules for inferring further conclusions to widen their analysis. They might use the information gleaned from inferencing as an OLAP dimension or for further ad-hoc analysis. Any analysis can be saved as a template for reuse and sharing among colleagues.
Publishing capabilities allow creating XML documents on-the-fly and the monitoring capabilities enable users to specify conditions that should be monitored.
