TaskController
Description TaskController is an easy to use server-side task management system for businesses using Outlook and Microsoft Exchange. TaskController is a groupware application for sharing and managing tasks in an organization using Outlook 2000 or XP and Microsoft Exchange 5.5 or newer. TaskController Client Setup uses Outlook to create 3 public folders which completely manage a companys group tasking activities. The TaskController (Exchange) Server Setup uses a MMC snap in to set up the custom events desired for your company’s operation.
TaskController facilitates public folder-based group tasking and events. TaskController users access its power completely from within Outlook. TaskController Administrators run a Microsoft Management Console snap in on the server to control the desired events. A new task is created manually by any user with Exchange permissions to the folder.
By email enabling the Incoming TaskController folder, incoming email messages from users or website responses are automatically converted into your own customizable Outlook task item and displayed for your users to work on. The new task can then be modified, centrally prioritized and managed. Users can send and receive shortcuts to the item for review and revision. The advanced task form supplied contains customizable user fields that are specific to the departmental business task to be performed and can be edited to suit your purpose from within Outlook.
The form can have a users time/date stamp for documentation to automatically keep a running total of time spent and becomes part of the history of the task item. When the user marks the task complete, TaskController automatically moves the task to the Completed folder and makes it part of the companys knowledge base.
