SRC Capital Planning
Description For many organizations, capital expenses are a significant and highly debated portion of the financial plan. Typically there are more capital requests than available funds, so projects must be evaluated and planned carefully. And because capital items can range from laptop computers to multi-million dollar systems implementations, the capital plan impacts every level of planning from the highest-level strategic initiatives to the detailed department budget. SRC Capital Planning provides you with the tools you need to develop a comprehensive capital plan that maximizes your strategic and financial return. Using a variety of available access options - including web and network, online and offline - you can gather capital requests and associated commentary & supporting documents from your user community, and then model the financial impacts. You can then rank projects in any user-defined fashion, from redistributing plans to decision-makers to vote on projects, to objective ranking and analysis performed based on NPV/IRR or other capital ranking statistics. Process control features can be employed to set submission, review and approval stages, and monitor progress with automated visual and email alerts. Once the capital plan is decided upon, SRC Capital Planning will intelligently integrate with other modules of the Advisor Series as appropriate. Capital expenses and depreciation flow into budgets and forecasts. Information on major capital projects can be integrated with SRC Strategic Planning to be included in high-level scenario analysis. SRC Capital Planning can also track actual capital spending on approved projects, reforecast cost and depreciation, and flow updated results into other planning modules as appropriate.
