The Synapse Prepare workflow
Creative professionals set up Synapse Prepare by importing a directive received from a print vendor, a set of predefined PDF output parameters that represent the creation preferences of a particular production environment. Printers and publishers create and distribute these locked directives to designers. In doing so, they are assured that a Synapse Prepare PDF will be production-ready. Creative designers save time and effort, with this easy, reliable PDF creation tool.

Synapse Prepare provides multiple PDF creation options. Users have the option of: printing directly from QuarkXPress with Synapse Prepare XT; printing directly from Adobe InDesign using the Synapse Prepare InDesign plug-in; printing to the Synapse Prepare desktop printer from any Macintosh application; or simply dragging and dropping PostScript or PDF files into a hot folder or Synapse Prepare applet.

Two editions to suit different needs
Synapse Prepare is available in two editions that suit the needs of different users.

Synapse Prepare is for users who are generating files intended for print production. Synapse Prepare Pro is for printers, trade shops and publishers looking to define a standard PDF specification for print production. Synapse Prepare Pro is the same as the standard Synapse Prepare edition, but with additional functionality, such as the ability to create, edit, and distribute directives and verify files. It also allows users to use branding options to customize a Synapse Prepare user experience.
