Digisoft switch dialer
Description If a business currently has a phone switch, why should it purchase an expensive predictive dialer that duplicates many of the switch’s features? Furthermore, why should it have to dedicate T1 lines to the dialer, when it would be more efficient to run all T1 lines into the switch, enabling it to be used for both inbound and outbound?
Why should agents have separate phones for inbound and predictive dialing, or even if the same phones are used, why should complicated interface hardware and software be required to connect the dialer to the switch? Why should a sophisticated phone switch, with advanced ACD and telephony functions be abandoned to a third party dialer product that can only perform basic telephony functions?
The Solution
The solution is deceptively simple. The best way to dial through a switch is to use the switch to dial. Digisoft’s switch dialer does exactly that.
The switch dialer is a computer with Dialogic cards that connects to the switch and dials through the switch, while the dialer monitors the progress of each call. When it finds a live call, the switch dialer instantly transfers the call, through the switch, to the next available agent. It then goes on to dial another number.
How It Works
Traditionally, predictive dialers require at least a two-to-one ratio of lines to agents, (the dialer needs nearly twice as many lines as agents in order to constantly keep agents on the phone). However, the switch dialer is just the opposite. It uses a one-to-two ratio or a one-to-one ratio - less lines than agents.
When a call is connected, the switch dialer immediately forwards the call to the next available agent. This releases the dialer to immediately call another number. Unlike traditional predictive dialers, the dialer is not affected by the connected call, because this call is running completely through the switch and is no longer the dialer’s concern.
