Amort is a Microsoft Excel (versions 97 and higher) application that generates great fixed / variable rate amortization schedules. Amort produces monthly, weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payment schedules. It does variable rates and extra principal payments and is able to project a worst-case interest rate changes for variable rate loans. Amort allows all components of the monthly payment (insurance, taxes, PMI, etc) to be changed at any point. It provides payment and balance graphs. This product helps you see how your variable rate loan payments could grow under the worst circumstances and the impact of paying extra principal. Commercial version with Visual Basic source code also available.
