TimeSite
Description TimeSite from DATABASICS is the most versatile time tracking software available for tracking employee activity. Meeting your most rigorous requirements for accounting, projects, workflow and reporting, TimeSite is also easy to learn and easy to use. Ease of Use Support for Accounting Support for Projects Workflow Reporting Technical Overview Ease of Use A time system is typically used by a large portion of an organization. As a result, small inefficiencies are magnified. For example, in a thousand-person company, every minute wasted by a cumbersome software interface represents a productivity loss of up to two full man-years. Worse, employees may "give up" on the system with the result that the information gathered is incomplete and unreliable. TimeSite is streamlined to be as straightforward and self-evident as possible. Users can get up and running with minimal training. Routine entry is designed for speed. Combining the convenience of the Web; user-modifiable "look-and-feel"; and shortcuts to eliminate repetition, TimeSite offers the ease of use that is essential for successful deployment. Support for Accounting TimeSite provides the detailed labor distributions required by accounting. TimeSite automatically imports codes from third-party accounting/payroll systems for employees, pay types (straight-time, overtime, etc.), profit/cost centers-practically, anything an accounting system would need to associate with a labor event. This eliminates double entry and ensures that the accounting system will fully recognize transactions posted from TimeSite. Still, not all code combinations are valid and the options available to one kind of employee might not be appropriate for another (e.g., exempt employees should not be charging to overtime). TimeSite addresses this through its business rules capability. Administrators of the system can easily formulate business rules by filling out a form. From the simplest restriction on workday length to holiday schedules based on location, TimeSite gives administrators the tools to minimize review, recycling and journalizations. Sometimes non-labor events are associated with an employee's expenditure of time. For example, units of work may need to be captured for a class of employees or for a particular project (see below). TimeSite provides for the entry of non-labor quantities in addition to labor hours. The administrator has full control over the configuration and use of these field types.
