GBMS WFM
Description GBMS WFM is a web-based workforce management module that provides companies with a system for accurate labor forecasting, schedule management and real-time maintenance of changing requirements.
The WFM module was developed with the varying needs of a wide spectrum of businesses in mind. The standard, user-maintained parameters allow the system to adapt to any environment. Companies can easily accommodate challenges such as: temporary employees, multi-union environments, schedule changes, multi-site and temporary site deployment, as well as skill tracking.
Labor forecasts can be set up on two levels: jobs and projects. The “who, what, where and when” is tracked at the job level, while projects allow you to group multiple jobs together for high-level analysis. The project feature also provides a way to link key information to a set of jobs. A project directory links important employee, customer and vendor contact information. An unlimited number of attachments can also be linked to the project; an attachment might be directly embedded in the attachment list, or linked by a URL path to an external file.
Both jobs and projects allow you to define requirements for any number of user-defined elements, including but not limited to: date range, location, company, department, customer and task. Requirements can be copied from previous forecasts or actual labor. Once the requirements have been determined, resources are assigned.
Among the many features that job schedulers can take advantage of is the ability to search the system for qualified personnel with preconditions such as location, department, skill level, seniority and experience. Before scheduling an employee, the system ensures that he or she is available and, if applicable, certified to perform the task. If you are working with a temporary labor force, a request list can be generated for specific staffers that have worked with your company in the past; the request list can be saved and emailed to the staffing company. When the staffing company replies with the available names, those workers are quickly moved from the request list to the schedule.
