e-TALC is a CD-ROM based information resource specifically for those working in the field of health at all levels and in all disciplines in developing countries.
Although availability of computers is still limited in the South it is growing fast, while access to the Internet is still very poor due to cost and poor telephone systems. e-TALC aims to overcome these problems by providing large quantities of high quality, copyright free, health, educational and training materials on a searchable and simple to use CD-ROM. These disks are free to those in developing countries and over 25,000 have been distributed since June 2002 (as of July 2003).

e-TALC is produced around 3 times a year and contains information donated by a variety of NGOs and individuals from around the world. The CD-ROMs aim to include information on a broad range of health topics ranging from healthcare development through to palliative care.
