Established wellness protocols are distributed with the data set for access during chart posting. At the proper time, the protocol will automatically trigger to remind you to perform a particular test or inform the patient of pertinent information relating to their condition or case. Many parameters may be established for these protocols including age, gender, previous diagnosis code, insurance carrier, number of visits, or user defined outcome study types.

For example, a particular diagnosis code (i.e. diabetes) may trigger a protocol to display. Once the protocol is triggered, you may then show that you have performed the appropriate action or informed the patient. The protocol will then become inactive until the appropriate time has elapsed for the event to mature again.
