Peds Rx is a handy pediatric formulary
calculator. It contains over 160 commonly used drugs. (Actual drugs, not trade
name and generic equivilants) It contains over 540 different dosing regimens for
those drugs. Drug dosing regiments are listed. The program calculates doses
based on both the patients weight and the dosing interval. It gives you actual
divided doses based on weight. This avoids tedious calculations and the chance
for calculation error. Drug formulations are listed to aid the clinician in
choosing the proper drug form. It also decreases call backs from pharmacies for
incorrectly written prescriptions. The formulary contains both pediatric and
adult dosing and can be used for patients from neonatal to adult.
