PORTALnet enables customers, employees, partners and suppliers to seamlessly access and control, from their portal home page, critical business information locked in enterprise applications. A part of Sierra Atlantic Application Networks suite, PORTALnet is a set of pre-built pagelets for PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal to provide visual integration with enterprise applications from Oracle, SAP and Siebel.

PORTALnet uses the PeopleSoft Pagelet Wizard architecture to deploy the pre-built pagelets. Requests from these pagelets are passed through the PORTALnet engine to enterprise applications using standard APIs; responses from the applications are transformed into XML, and pre-packaged XSL templates are applied to render the resulting content as HTML in the pagelets.
