Transmit Media PayPal eCommerce Extension for Adobe GoLive
Description
The PayPal eCommerce Extension allows you to add eCommerce to your websites by creating payment buttons and basic shopping cart functionality. Visitors to your site can use credit cards to pay for items, allowing you to accept credit card payments for items or services that you sell on your site. To receive payments, you will need to open up a free PayPal business account (unless you already have one). Customers making payments to you need not have a PayPal account, only a valid credit card. Payments made to you will be credited to your PayPal Business account. PayPal supports payments in several currencies including US$, CA$, Euro, British Pound and Japanese Yen. Paypal setup is free, and there are no monthly fees. You pay only a small transaction fee when a purchase occurs, as low as 2.2% + $.30 per transaction (check PayPal site for current fee schedule). PayPal provides increased protection for online merchants via its built-in fraud prevention system. PayPal standard services include instant availability of funds, a scalable and proven payments platform, 24/7 customer service via email, and extended business hour telephone customer service. For more info, please visit http://www.paypal.com/pdn.
Buy Now When you drag a Buy Now object onto the page, a wizard appears that allows you to create a payment button for your product or service. Once you complete the wizard, GoLive inserts a PayPal button that visitors can click to pay you with any major credit card (you can also define a custom button of your own creation). When visitors click your button, they will be taken to the PayPal Web site where they can then enter payment information which will be credited to your PayPal account.
Add to Cart When you drag an Add to Cart object onto the page, a wizard appears that allows you to create an Add to Cart button. The Add to Cart button allows visitors to add products or services on your site to their personal shopping cart (you can also define a custom button of your own creation). By creating a different button for each product or service on your site, customers can add multiple items to their carts which are kept track of on the PayPal Web site. Customers can also pay for items via credit card once they are ready to checkout.
View Cart When you drag a View Cart object onto the page, a wizard appears that allows you to create a View Cart button. The View Cart Button works in conjunction with the Add to Cart button and allows visitors to view the contents of their shopping carts without having to add a new item (you can also define a custom button of your own creation).
Subscription When you drag a Subscription object onto the page, a wizard appears that allows you to add a recurring payment button to your website (you can also define a custom button of your own creation). Recurring payments can be used to set up an ongoing charge or payment plan for customers -- for example, a monthly or quarterly fee instead of a one time charge. You can also optionally set up a free or paid trial period, and also charge a setup fee to initiate the subscription.
